Jus Carrot Susu

Dah siap2 nak balik rumah bg yg bekerja tu? (kat Trg ni kalau bulan puasa dibenarkan balik pkl 4.30ptg, best kan ) Dah set menu apa nak dimasak sebagai juadah berbuka puasa? Ke tapau aje ek... Yg jd menteri penuh kat rumah tu dah siap masak belum? Awal lg ni kan.. Sempat lg kalau start masak lepas solat Asar.. insyaallah..

Okay, your Hari Raya akan datang, here's a recipie that will make your Raya visitors get all shook up, ha ha.
Elvis Presley's favourite pound cake, made by his mother Gladys long ago.

    ELVIS PRESLEY'S POUND CAKE

    3 cups granulated sugar
    1/2 pound butter, softened
    7 eggs, at room temperature
3 cups cake flour, sifted twice, divided
    1 cup whipping cream
    2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Butter and flour a 10-inch tube pan.

Thoroughly cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in half the flour, then the whipping cream, then the other half of the flour.

Add vanilla extract. Pour batter into prepared pan. Set in a COLD oven and turn heat to 350 degrees F. Bake 60 to 70 minutes, until a sharp knife inserted in cake comes out clean.

Cool in pan 5 minutes. Remove from pan and cool thoroughly.
Then invite Uncle Lee come for coffee. Ha ha.

I will give you another recipe, I blogged about it 2 months ago....it's called, "I'm all yours" cake.
Da makan nampak bulan naik half hour early.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 (18.25-ounce) box yellow cake mix, plus ingredients to prepare
    • 1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple
    • 1 1/3 cups sugar
    • 1 (3.4-ounce) box French vanilla pudding, plus ingredients to prepare
    • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
    • 1 cup flaked, sweetened toasted coconut

    Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Prepare yellow cake mix as directed using a greased 13 by 9 by 2-inch pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.

While cake is baking, combine the pineapple and 1 cup of sugar in a saucepan, and bring to a boil over medium heat stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

Remove cake from oven and using a fork, pierce holes into cake. Pour pineapple mixture over hot cake and set aside.

Prepare pudding according to package directions.
Spread pudding over cake and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.

Whip heavy cream and remaining sugar until stiff.
Cover top of cake with whipped cream and sprinkle toasted coconut on top.

Nor, I think you and your family will love this cake. Tell your hubby the name of the cake, ha ha, *wink*.
You have a pleasant buka puasa, and bila senang datang pondok saya, ya.
Keep a song in your heart, Lee.
